Subject: Man charged following incident at North Street business and search (FILE #2025-1092987)
BRIDGEWATER – On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Bridgewater Police Service responded to a business located on North Street in Bridgewater following a firearms-related complaint at about 8:15 p.m.
Witnesses who spoke with police reported that a male had been in the parking lot of the business and had pointed what was believed to be a firearm at two individuals before fleeing. The witnesses also provided information regarding where they believed the suspect may be located.
Based on the description and circumstances, police concluded this was not a random incident – Bridgewater Police were aware of ongoing issues involving these individuals which the Nova Scotia RCMP had been dealing with over the past several days during a number of different incidents elsewhere in Lunenburg County. In this particular matter, police determined that there was no threat to the public.
In response and using the information provided by the witnesses, Bridgewater Police Service and the RCMP blocked off a section of Glen Allan Drive in Bridgewater, setting up a containment area into the early morning of July 30.
At about 1:40 a.m., Bridgewater Police patrol officers, Criminal Investigative Division (CID) officers, and the BPS K-9 Unit made entry into a residence to search for the suspect. The residence was found to be vacant, however during the course of the search police found a loaded .22 caliber rifle unsecured at that location.
Stemming from the investigation, Brandon Tyler Feindell of no fixed address has been charged with the following:
- Without lawful excuse, pointing a firearm contrary to Section 87 of the Criminal Code

- Possession of a firearm or knowing that it was obtained by the commission of an offence contrary to Section 96(a) of the Criminal Code
- Two counts of uttering a threat to cause death contrary to Section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
Feindell has not yet been apprehended and a warrant is out for his arrest.
