Driver hurt in crash involving utility pole

A Lunenburg County woman sustained a broken arm and other injuries resulting from a motor vehicle crash over the weekend.
Just after 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, Bridgewater Police Service, paramedics and Bridgewater’s volunteer fire department responded to the corner of Victoria Road and York Street where a compact car had collided with a utility pole.
Law enforcement learned a 2022 Honda Civic travelling on Victoria Road struck a curb near the intersection before it slammed into the pole. The 44-year-old Lunenburg County woman behind the wheel was assessed and treated by paramedics at the scene and transported by ambulance to South Shore Regional Hospital.
Motor vehicle travel in the area was temporarily restricted while emergency crews worked the incident.
Police do not expect to file any charges.
