South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit

 

The South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit came into effect April 1st, 2007.  The Street Crime Enforcement Units are as a result of the Provincial Priorities. “Safe Home’s and Safe Communities”.

The South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) consists of four Police Officers.  They are responsible for the Lunenburg and Queens Detachment.  SCEU is composed of one Bridgewater Police Service officer and has three RCMP officers.

Since the start up of the Street Crime Enforcement Unit there’s been a significant number of charges under the Controlled / Drug and Substance Act, Criminal Code, and other Provincial and Federal Statues.
