January 20th, 2011 The South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit with the assistance of the Lunenburg County District RCMP and the Bridgewater Police Service General Investigation Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in New Germany, Lunenburg County. Police seized an indoor marihuana grow operation and a quantity of processed marihuana. Four adults - two males, aged 20 and 22, and two females, aged 22 and 27, were arrested at the scene, taken into custody and released later that day. All four are facing charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act including Possessing a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Unlawful Production of a Controlled Substance. The four are scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court March 9th, 2011.
