The South Parkade will be closed to the public at 6:00pm on Sunday November 1st, The piblic is advised to ensure the south parkade is free of any motor vehicles before 6:00pm on November 1st. any vehicles on the parkade after that time will be towed at the owners expense.

On September 29, 2015, members of the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, along with Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia and Bridgewater Police Service conducted a targeted traffic stop on Jubilee Road.  A 26 year old Lunenburg County female was arrested for Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking after a quantity of Cocaine and other drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle.  The female was held overnight and released on today’s date to appear in Bridgewater court on December 2, 2015.

BPS Occ # 2015-1126733 – Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Dangerous Driving, Flight from Police


Bridgewater Police Service charged a 29 year old Lunenburg County man for an incident which occurred in the town center on the afternoon of September 1st, 2015.

BPS detectives located a vehicle suspected of being involved in a break & enter, theft in Walden, Lunenburg County on August 30th, 2015.  Upon attempting to stop the suspect vehicle, a 2012 Ford F150 pickup truck on Baker Street at 3:05 pm, police allege the driver refused to stop and fled from police, driving in a dangerous and erratic manner.  Police terminated the pursuit due to the danger to the public on Greenwood Street.

The alleged driver of the vehicle involved was arrested later the same day by Lunenburg County RCMP members after they responded to an unrelated occurrence in Western Shore. 

Subsequent police investigation revealed the truck involved in the above noted incidents had been reported stolen from Saskatchewan.  The vehicle has been recovered.

Shea David HULME is facing charges of Possession of Stolen vehicle, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Flight from Police.  Additional charges are expected against Hulme in related RCMP investigations.  The accused was brought to court in Bridgewater this afternoon and was remanded into custody until the 3rd of September, 2015.  A Show Cause hearing will be held tomorrow morning to determine whether the accused will be released.
