Media Release: Occ # 2016-225421 – Robbery /Home Invasion on Maple Street, Bridgewater, NS
On Thursday, the 25th of February, 2016 shortly after 5 pm, Bridgewater Police Service received a 911 call of a fight in progress at a residence on Maple Street. Upon responding to the area, Police determined an armed robbery with violence had occurred.
Two adult males had been robbed at knife point inside their apartment after three masked males forced entry into their residence. A quantity of tobacco and cash was stolen.
A short time after arrival, police arrested two adult males and an adult female at a nearby residence. A third adult male had left the area on foot prior to the arrival of police.
A police K-9 was called to the area to assist in the investigation. Members of our General Investigation Section (GIS) along with members of the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) also joined the follow up investigation.
As a result of police enquiries and assistance from the general public, the third male, an adult turned himself in shortly after midnight on the 26th of February, 2016.
Police have laid a total of 30 criminal charges against four adults for this incident.
Lucas Cory GREEK, DOB: 1996-05-04 of Lunenburg Co faces 9 charges.
Dustin MCCARTHY, DOB: 1996-07-04 of No fixed address faces 7 charges.
Cody McDonnell TRIMPER, DOB: 1997-05-08 of Bridgewater faces 8 charges.
Alissa Megan CORKUM, DOB: 1995-02-21 of Bridgewater faces 6 charges.
These individuals’ charges are for the offenses of robbery, assault with a weapon, wearing a mask, breaches of undertakings, possession of stolen property, and Break & Enter into a residence to commit the indictable offense of robbery.
The accused were remanded into custody over the weekend and were expected to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court this morning for plea.

Halifax County Physician charged with Trafficking Prescription Narcotics
As a result of a seven month long investigation, Bridgewater police have charged a 35 year old Halifax county physician with Possession of Oxycodone and Oxyneo for the Purpose of Trafficking in addition to Theft, Breach of Trust and other Fraud related charges. The Nova Scotia College of Physicians and Surgeons co-operated with the Bridgewater Police Service General Investigation Section’s (GIS) investigation.
It is alleged, Doctor Sarah Dawn JONES (DOB: 1980-04-22) had prescribed over 50,000 Oxycodone/Oxyneo pills to a patient over a twelve month period and the patient to whom it was prescribed to, did not receive it.
Sarah Dawn JONES has been released from custody and is required to appear in Bridgewater court on May 11, 2016 in relation to the charges.
Sarah Dawn JONES is charged with the following;
- One count- Theft contrary to Section 334 (a) of the Criminal Code
- Two counts- Fraud contrary to Section 380 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code
- One count- Possession of Oxyneo and Oxycodone contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- One count- Possession of Oxyneo and Oxycodone for the Purposes of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- One Count- Breach of Trust contrary to section 122 of the Criminal Code
- One Count- Drawing a document without Authority contrary to section 374(a) of the Criminal Code.

On September 29, 2015, members of the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, along with Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia and Bridgewater Police Service conducted a targeted traffic stop on Jubilee Road. A 26 year old Lunenburg County female was arrested for Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking after a quantity of Cocaine and other drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. The female was held overnight and released on today’s date to appear in Bridgewater court on December 2, 2015.
